India 1936 King Edward VIII Archer Essay for a proposed 1937 issue, stamp-size essay with blank value tablet, with the outline of the King’s head on the right alongside an image of ships saiing at sea; affixed to card and anotated “4.3.36”. The designs were never issued as stamps as the King abdicated soon and these remained essays. Almost unobtainable and an important part of Indian philately
