India 1947 (Aug 15) Jai Hind slogan cancel on registered Private First Day Cover from Madras bearing GV and Ceylon stamps, reregistered from Cathedral on 21 Nov 47 with GVI and Jai Hind 3½a stamp (issued on that day), further re-registered on 15 Dec 1947 with the other two stamps issued on that day. Re-registered twice again on 4 Feb 48 and 6 Feb 48. All registration labels and delivery cds on reverse.
